Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu.

Upon arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, one of the representatives of Himalayan Holidays meets, assist and transfer to hotel. After welcome refreshments and room check in the hotel, there will be a short briefing and orientation about the trek.

Eve: Trip briefing followed by welcome dinner.

Day 2

Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu & Fly to Pokhara- 30 Min

On Day 2, after a hearty breakfast, you will embark on an enriching sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, beginning with the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that showcases the architectural brilliance of Nepal’s Malla dynasty, where ancient temples, palaces, and courtyards tell the stories of the kingdom’s rich history. The journey continues to Patan Durbar Square, another World Heritage Site, known for its stunning Newari architecture, intricate wood carvings, and the renowned Krishna Mandir, a testament to Nepal’s spiritual and artistic heritage. Next, you will visit the iconic Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the “Monkey Temple,” perched on a hill offering a panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley, symbolizing the harmonious blend of Buddhism and Hinduism in Nepal. The day’s adventure culminates with a scenic flight to Pokhara, where you’ll witness breathtaking aerial views of terrace fields and the majestic Annapurna range. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay, with all meals provided to keep you energized for the experiences ahead.

Day 3

Drive to Sikles & start Trek to Hugu (1981m / 6,500 ft.) – 4-5 Hrs.

On Day 3, after breakfast, you will embark on a short, steep, and potentially muddy drive to Sikles, passing through a picturesque forest of birches, conifers, and rhododendrons. After reaching the last point accessible by vehicle, a brief uphill walk of about 15 to 20 minutes will bring you to Sikles, where you’ll enjoy lunch. Following lunch, the trek begins with a steep ascent from Sikles to the village of Hugu. As you hike, you’ll be surrounded by the scenic beauty of lush green forests, rivers, waterfalls, and stunning mountain views, gradually making your way to Hugu, situated at an elevation of 1,981 meters (6,500 feet).

Day 4

Trek to Kapuche Lake to Sikles (2450m / 8,058 ft) – 7-8 Hrs

After breakfast short hike to Kapuche lake begins from hugu with steep and downhill hike is ,basically famous for bird watching and home to many endangered species . Kapuche Glacier Lake is claimed to be the lowest-elevation glacier lake in the world. The temperature of the lake can reach sub-zero during winter, and the surface can turn into ice. The 0.12 Km2 Lake is about 40 meters deep.

Day 5

Drive to Pokhara and Pokhara Sightseeing 3-4 Hrs

After Breakfast, drive to Pokhara from Sikles and transfer to designated hotel and check in. Sightseeing begins of Pokhara valley covering Davi’s Fall, Tibetian Refugee Camp, Seti Gorge, (Gupteshowr) Mahadev Cave, Bindhyabasini Temple & Fewa Lake 1 hour Boat ride on Lake Fewa Feel free to take a stroll through the city in the evening or relax by the lakeside and fly to Kathmandu.

Day 6

Fly to Kathmandu and drive to Nagarkot – 30 Min

Wake up early in the morning for excursion to Sarangkot to view sunrise over the Himlayas(if weather permits)After breakfast checkout from hotel and fly back to Kathmandu and continue towards Nagarkot(32kms/1.5hours) enroute visit Bhaktapur durbar Square upon arrival, transfer to respective hotel. Overnight stay in Nagarkot.

Eve: Trip experience sharing followed by farewell dinner.

 

Day 7

Drive to Tribhuwan International Airport - 2 Hrs

Enjoy sunrise with panaromic view of Himalayas from hotel premises (if weather permits). Free time until departure. Timely transfer to international airport for onward Journey.

You’ll trek through lush rhododendron and conifer forests, remote Gurung and Magar villages, and enjoy uninterrupted views of Annapurna’s snow-capped peaks.

Rated “Moderate,” this trek covers daily distances of 12–18 km over 6–8 hours on varied terrain—forest trails, mule tracks, and village paths. It’s ideal for anyone in good general health who does regular cardio exercise or hiking practice, but beginners with solid preparation can also join comfortably.

The prime seasons are:

  • Spring (March–May): Clear skies, blooming rhododendrons, moderate temperatures.
  • Autumn (September–November): Stable weather, crisp mountain views, post-monsoon freshness.

You can also trek during the quieter monsoon shoulder months (June and July), although expect intermittent showers.

Accommodation: Comfortable lodges/teahouses on twin-share basis, with basic hot-water showers where available.

Meals: Freshly prepared Nepali, Indian, and continental dishes (breakfast, lunch, dinner) served in mountain lodges and hotels.

Physical training: Aim for 2–3 hours of walking, hiking, or stair-climbing 3–4 times per week in the months leading up to your trek.

Mental prep: Read about high-altitude trekking, set a relaxed mindset, and practice pacing yourself on steep terrain

  • Essentials: Waterproof trekking boots, quick-dry layers, warm fleece/jacket, windproof outer shell

  • Accessories: Sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, gloves, headlamp, reusable water bottle

  • Optional: Lightweight sleeping bag (many lodges provide blankets), trekking poles

At a maximum elevation of 2,450 m, serious altitude sickness is unlikely. The itinerary includes gradual climbs and rest periods, and your guide carries a first-aid kit (including Diamox) and satellite phone. In the rare event of severe symptoms, organized descent or helicopter evacuation is available.
