Itinerary
Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, meet Himalayan Holidays representative, assist and transfer to the hotel. At the hotel’s lobby welcome refreshments will be served and room check in assistance will be provided. Shortly, there will be a tour briefing at the hotel’s lobby.

Eve: Welcome dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant featuring cultural dance program.

Day 02

sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar Square.

Am:  After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur City.  Literally the “City of Devotees”, is renowned for its elegant art, fabulous culture, colorful festivals, traditional dances and the typical Newari lifestyle. Here explore the Royal Palace, the Golden Gate, and the entrance to the Palace of 55 Windows, known as the most significant piece of art in Nepal. Then visit the highest temple in the entire Kathmandu Valley- the Nyatapola Temple.

In addition also visit   the Boudhanath Stupa – an ancient colossal stupa and the center of Tibetan Buddhism in the world and the Pashupatinath Temple – the Temple of Lord Shiva situated on the bank of the holy Bagmati River.

Pm: After lunch drive up to the Patan City. This ancient city of Patan also known as Lalitpur or the city of fine arts is about five Kilometers southeast of Kathmandu. The city is full of Hindu temples and Buddhist monuments. The major tourist attractions of Patan are: Durbar Square, Krishna Mandir, Mahaboudha, Hiranya Verna Mahavihar. After the tour, transfer to hotel.

Day 03

Celebrate Teej Festival

Am:  After breakfast, proceeds for a sightseeing tour Swayambhunath Stupa situated atop a hill from where you could get a bird’s eye view of Kathmandu Valley. The Swayambhunath Stupa is also known as the “Monkey Temple” which is also listed in a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

Pm: After Lunch, Drive to Pashupatinath Temple premises where thousands of Nepali women will be celebrating the festival by singing, dancing and worshipping. You will be the part of this festival and can dance and sing along with them.

Day 04

Drive to Pokhara. (205km / 6 hrs)

Am:  After early morning breakfast, we will drive to Pokhara by very comfortable public tourist bus with a/c. It will be scenic drive passing through the beautiful agricultural countryside to Pokhara – nestled in the tranquil valley (827m) on the laps of the mighty Annapurna Himalaya Range. Pokhara is also known as vacationer’s paradise and city of lakes.

Eve: Sunset boat rides at Phewa Lake.

Day 5

Day hike to the World Peace Stupa (1,100 m).

Am: After breakfast, drive to Dam Side (Hike starting point), leave the vehicle there and commence hiking to the World Peace Stupa (1,100 meters), which is recently built stupa on the perfect forested hilltop of Andu Danda. The walking trail is utterly steep but well defined surrounded with lush green bushes and trees on both sides. Hike duration – one hour.

 Pm: Spend some hours exploring exquisite surrounding scenery from the World Peace Stupa and hike back to the southern part of the Phewa Lake. Upon arrival at the shore of the Lake, board a boat and row to the Barahi Temple, which is situated on a small island of Phewa Lake from where we can witness the magnificent views of Mt. Fish Tail including the Annapurna Range (Weather permitting). 

Late afternoon is free for much deserved rest or guests may feel free to explore the colorful Lake Side Bazaar.

Day 6

Drive to Chitwan (147 kms- 5 hrs)

Am: Early breakfast and start drive to Chitwan (The Royal Chitwan National Park) by public tourist bus with a/c, which is 147 Kilometers from Pokhara and is connected by the Prithivi Highway. Upon arrival meet naturalists / representatives from the jungle lodge followed by tour briefing.

In the evening, the well stocked bar caters to the needs of the thirsty and a hearty meal of continental Or Nepalese cuisine will be served around the campfire.

Day 07

Full Day jungle activities

Am: Early wakeup call and proceed for an elephant ride or a jungle walk, to view the wildlife in their early repose. This is the best time of the day to see the animals as we silently brush through dewy tall elephant grass (18-20 ft. tall), a habitat for one horned rhinos, tigers and other wild animals. Spend 2-3 hrs in the jungle, and then return to the hotel for breakfast.

Shortly afterwards, visit the elephant stables to get a firsthand knowledge on elephants from senior naturalists. Here one can witness the rare scene of elephants at bath.

Pm: After hearty lunch, the afternoon is free for the much-deserved mid-afternoon siesta or a visit to the library for general in formations on the National park.

In the late afternoon, there is a choice to participate in the programs offered, which includes Canoe rides/ floats or an escorted Nature walk and bird watching excursion.

Day 08

Fly back to Kathmandu

Am: After breakfast, drive to Bharatpur Domestic Airport and board 25 minutes flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu’s domestic airport, meet Himalayan Holidays representative, assist and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure activities or last minute shopping and packing.

Eve:  Farewell dinner.

Day 09

Final Departure

Free until final departure transfer to the Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport.
