Langtang Valley trek unites the distant and spectacular valley of Langtang with high mountains and holy lakes Gosaikunda. Cultural heritage, Stupas, Monasteries and Gompa around the trekking trails makes the trekking more interesting. An interesting amalgamation of nature and human industriousness – mountain trails here cut across a Kaleidoscope of backdrops unavailable in other trails of Nepal. The glacial views, alpine bamboo groves with sparse meadows, elusive mammalian faunas, deep valley descents are part of the adventure for trek enthusiasts braving these quaint low travelled routes. With the choice of two pinnacle top view points for side quest journeys, the Tserko Ri and Kyanjin Ri, are the passes travellers must not miss out on. The once in a lifetime himalayan views of Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, full massif of Langtang and the Sishaphangma across the border from these points is an experience every traveller cherishes.

- Collapse AllWalking inside Nepal from the arrival terminal at Kathmandu.
Our highly hospitable airport team shall offer you a cozy ride to the hotel of your stay in Kathmandu right from the gates of arrival terminal. After a short zip in the vehicle, the team at the hotel awaiting only for your arrival, shall help you settle down to get the jet-lag off in a room assigned. A welcome dinner with local cuisine and a traditional dance performance is scheduled for travellers this evening. A short while before the dinner feast a pre-briefing of the tour is provisioned.

Syabrubesi zip in a comfy vehicle (4,920feet/1,500meter) Hours-in-travel - 6
Post a quick feast of breakfast, we checkout of the hotel where we took a rest on the previous moon rise. Hours in travel is an estimated 6 hours with short breaks for meals along the hill edge highways. Starting elms of the cozy drive will see us drive uphill to locally famous Gurje pass bidding good bye to Kathmandu for official entry to Trishuli in Nuwakot. Cruising along these blacktopped roads we follow the river edge highway trails of Aakhu and Trishuli river to reach historic Betrawati in Rasuwa district. A short highway trail drive of 3 hours will roll us through Dhunche for a descent to Syabrubesi. Syaburbesi’s lodge is our roof for the night before the next sunup.

Journey of Sherpagoan Trek (8,396feet/2,560meter) Hours-in-travel - 6
A heavy breakfast meal to fuel the 6 hours in travel begins the trek day today. The trek day heads to a police checkpost for government record keeping purposes, we take a descent towards Bhotekoshi River. The trail then takes on left towards Khanjim Village on a steep uphill climb of 3 hours after crossing the river. With a quick lunch in Khanjim village, we take roads again to Sherpagon with a viewpoint stop for closeup view of Ganesh Himal Range. The Moonlight of the evening today will be spent in a mini yet cozy teahouse lodge.

Journey of Thangsyap Trek (10,946Feet/3,200meter) Hours-in-travel - 6
Your fourth heavy breakfast in Nepal’s all for fueling the 6 hours in travel today. Travel today runs along a cliffside trail with a little more difficulty than usual. Post a short hour long trek on the cliff trail lays Rimche, the first spot to get a soothing warm cup of coffee or tea. The warmth of the mountains does not stop on the trail as mountain views follow us along the famous Landmark Lama Hotel in Chumao. The trail froths forward from the left bank of Langtang River to its right banks in a village settlement called Ghodetabela (horse resting stable in Nepali Language). A short rest in Ghodetabela’s viewpoint energises us to take the trail again for 30 minutes to the target of the day, Thangsyap. The thangsyap trek is where the mountain starts to change colours as flora patterns change and Langtang Himal clamours your eyes.

Trek Journey of Kyanjin Gompa (12,760feet/3,890meter) Hours-in-travel - 5
Journey today is multicoloured, the trek passes along the natural mosaics to Langtang Village, the first village of the day. The steep uphill climb journey today takes you on a viewing spree of water streams falling from the hills. The watermills along the rivers are an added bonus of walking towards the village. Spin the prayer wheels as you spin past refreshing remote Tibetan villages heavily dotted with Buddhist iconologies. As you stroll around the trail intersects through pastures, stone-pavements, and flat-tiled houses, you make it to Kyanjin Gompa, the highest point of the trek today. Here, on the highest point of the trek, you come across snow clad golden hour views of Gancheop and overall Langtang Range. Post a soak of the views atop, a mini descent back to Monastery of Kyanjin Gompa is where we receive blessings before heading to teahouse lodge for shelter.

Journey of sights around Langshisa Glacier and Kyanjin Gompa (14,054feet/4285meter) Hours-in-travel - 8
Early meal today is a fuel for a trek to high alluvial delta in the himalayas. Trek intersects an heli air strip offering a jaw dropping view of the entirety of Langtang Lirung. Post a deep soak of the Langtang Lirung’s view, the trek journeys through river banks to Jatang’s stone hut villages offering views of Gnangchempo Glacier. After journey tours down a descent of dry river bed for a view of Shalbachum Glacier’s Moraine. Onwards shortly is the final view point of today’s trek which offers views of Pematang Ri, Langshisa Kharka, Kanshurum and Urkinmang. The Journey then scales back the same route for an overnight castling in the same teahouse lodge in Kyanjin Gompa’s neighbourhood.

Journeying the highest point of the trek - Kyanjin Ri (15,655feet/4,773meter) Hours-in-travel - 4
Brekkie this sweet sunny day recharges your energy juice to a trek for the highest point of your Journey. We take you to Kyranji Ri for a panoramic view of all the Mountain Ranges in Langtang vicinity. We then descend back to Ghodatabela, our trek resting spot of day four.

Backtrack to Syabrubesi (1,503m/4,930ft) Hours-in-travel - 7
This is the last day of walking. You will trek down to Syabrubesi. The scenic trail then passes through the beautiful terrains to arrive at the picturesque landscapes.
You can explore the beautiful rural settlements for the last time as you finally arrive at the settlements of Syabrubesi.
