Langtang is one of the popular and wildly beautiful regions for trekking and peak climbing in Nepal. Located on the north of Kathmandu valley intervened between the icy glacier lakes and Tibetan borders. Langtang valley has several glacier lakes like Gosaikunda, Parvatikunda, Dudhkunda and etc so it is also known as the valley of glaciers. Mesmerizing Himalayan scenery, beautiful glaciers descend from snow capped peaks, lush forest of pine and rhododendron, typical Tibetan like Tamang culture and heritage sites makes this region one of the major attraction among trekkers.
Peaks in langtang region are easiest to climb and least elevated than compare to the other peaks of Nepal’s Himalaya. Peaks in this region are least technical, so anyone can climb without any prior knowledge and experience. Langtang Lirung (7,227 m), Ganja La Chuli (5,844 m), Jugal Himal, Naya kanga (5,846 m), Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m) Lenpo Gang (7,246 m)and Yala peak (5,520 m) are the major peaks and passes in this region.
