The trek involves significant altitude, starting around 2,300-2,600 meters (7,500-8,500 feet) in Paro district and reaching over 4,000 meters (13,000 feet). Acclimatization is crucial to prevent altitude sickness. Gradual ascent and adequate hydration are recommended. To avoid getting sick from the high altitude on the Druk Path Trek, it’s really important to go up slowly
Along the way, you’ll get to experience Bhutan’s rich culture and if you come at the right time, you can even enjoy vibrant festivals with traditional mask dances and joyful celebrations.
